Elisabeth and Justine were delighted to partner with Restitution, Diakonia and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) to provide training to the Zambian public sector agencies responsible for implementing the country’s AML/CFT framework as they prepare for their next FATF Mutual Evaluation.
The training was co-presented by the Zambian Authorities and the group discussions were extremely informative and positive, showcasing the brilliant work already being done in asset recovery and international cooperation, amongst other areas.
The opening remarks by the Honourable Attorney General and the Swedish Ambassador demonstrated the high level commitment to and support of Zambia’s impressive efforts.
The feedback from the training was extremely positive “…Both their delivery of the workshop and material was very clear and comprehensive; they are very knowledgeable and were well equipped and articulate; I liked everything about the program, all the presentations and exercises were helpful as a reminder to what we ought to do and look out as financial investigators; I would love this program to continue for us to gain more knowledge and a better understanding of ML”.
